I just heard about Rich today and am saddened by the news of his passing. I worked with Rich at TSA in Ft. Myers a few years ago, he was a wonderful man. Always a smile on his face, and both being from Michigan we always had something to talk about.  He will truly be missed.

To my sweet loving brother Rick....you were my first brother, my first friend and my first partner in crime.  I love you and I am going to miss you terribly.  You will forever be in my heart.  ❤

Life is remembered in moments. So many in which, reflect great times spent with you. I will always cherish those times. You obtained vast knowledge that you shared with me on music, books, culture and life. I will also cherish what I've learned from you. Your intellect, kindness, good sense of humor and deep compassion were transparent. We will all miss you in the physical form, but we know that your soul is still very much present in Heaven and our hearts.

Richard Alan Spino was born November 19, 1963 in Wyandotte, Michigan to Richard F. And Barbara Spino.  The family moved to Riverview, Michigan in 1966.  Richard was a 1981 graduate of Riverview Community High School.  Richard served in the U.S. Air Force from 1981-1985.  He was stationed in Weisbaden, Germany, where he fell in love with the area.  Especially the beauty of the Black Forest area.  Richard loved traveling through Europe and those travels he talked about frequently.  Richard was honorably discharged and moved back to his hometown.  Richard lived there until 2002 when he moved to Parrish, Florida.  He began working for TSA in Fort Myers and later Tampa, Florida.  He had many friends he met at TSA and considered them good friends and wonderful people.  Richard had an Associate Degree from St. Petersburg College and achieved high distinction academically.  Richard was a die hard Detroit/Michigan Sports Fan.  He enjoyed  Football, Baseball, Hockey, and Basketball.  He also loved to go to  Disney World and was an Annual Passholder.  He had stayed at every resort except The Grand Floridian and the Shades of Green.  His family is planning to stay at the last two resorts in his honor.  Richard was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer and had surgery on June 8, 2015 to remove it.  He was recovering and seemed to be doing well.  He started not feeling well and passed away in his home on June 24, 2015.  He is survived by his parents, Richard and Barbara Spino.  Sister and Brother-in-law, Denise and Tony Webler.  Brother and Sister-in-law, Dan and Laura Spino.  His loving Niece and Nephews, who he considered his own children.  Alyssa and Joshua Webler, Danny, Nicholas, and Alexander Spino.  Richard, was also known as Rich, Rick, and Ricky to his friends and family.  His wishes were to be cremated and his ashes will be scattered in the Black Forest area in Germany.  God Bless Him and May He Rest In Peace.

I worked with Rich at RSW for years.  He was a wonderful man who was liked by all his co-workers.  Everyone who knew him had something good to say about Rich.  My sincere condolences to his family on his untimely passing.
