Richelle "Shelli" Littorno Doud May 3, 1957 - December 5, 2018

Raised in Walnut Creek California, Richelle (Shelli) Doud also known as Mrs. Sundita to many of her students, ascended into Heaven Wednesday December 5, 2018. Shelli graduated from Carondelet High School and Chico State University and had a very rewarding teaching career, retiring from the Antioch Unified School District after 22 years of service.

She met the love of her life and married 11 years ago. She is survived by her husband Dirk, Father, 2 Brothers and many extended family and friends. She touched many lives with her great joy and love of life, and will live on through the many wonderful memories she gave us. One of her favorite sayings was: "Live everyday as if it’s your last chance to make someone happy.” And she did exactly that.

Celebration of Life Services will be held in the San Francisco East Bay area on Saturday, January 26th. Due to the scale of Shelli’s impact on so many lives, attendance is limited to close family and friends who will be contacted and provided details (the location and time) by family or friends assisting the family. The family regrets that attendance is limited and thanks you for your understanding.

In lieu of flowers (and in some cases, attending the service), the family asks that you support the Go Fund Me Page established in Shelli’s name benefitting the students of Kimball Elementary School via the following link: Your support will help to continue her influence in the lives of children who need so much.

Shelli truly was a special soul. She lived life to the fullest and she gave so much to her family, friends, students, other teachers and really anyone she connected with. I have so many special memories of my dear friend, Shelli. Although I will miss her dearly, I feel so fortunate to have had her in my life. She will always hold a special place in my heart ♥️

Shelli lived life to its absolute fullest, with a personality that made you feel as if you’d known her forever. The world is emptier, darker and not as much fun because of her absence. Unfortunately for us heaven is always recruiting angels, and the very best are sometimes required. Shelli you are sorely missed; thanks for including us to some degree on your journey as we all are richer in some way, shape or form for having known you

There are very few people in the world like Shelli. She makes you feel like family instantly. There is a smile and giggle in everything she sees and she shares it so freely. I will always remember that her smile lit up a room and her hugs would warm you to your soul. Her wit and her humor made any situation a party. I was not a part of Shelli’s world for very long. But long enough for it to have impacted my life in so many positive ways. Her grace and beauty will be forever missed. Fly high my friend.
