Robert D. Shea, 72 of Ellenton FL, Went home to be with Jesus on Sunday July 17th at James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa FL. Survived by his wife Carla Shea and his three stepchildren Cristy J. Diaz and Son in law Rick Diaz, Cassandra L. Romiza, Michael R. Romiza, 1 Grandson and 3 Granddaughters.
Bob was born in Worcester, the son of Walter D. Shea and Marian E. (Savage) Shea, Brother to Carol A. Vigeant and Brother-in-Law of Jeffrey P Vigeant.
Robert Graduated from South High School in Worcester and attended multiple colleges finishing with a Degree in Psychology. He also served his country during the Vietnam War in the US ARMY as a Military Police Officer.
Robert worked as a housing inspector for 12 years while living on Cape Cod. He was an avid skier and loved to play guitar.
Robert loved his family and friends and was wonderful man with a big heart who will be greatly missed.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 26th at 10AM at Sarasota National Cemetery.
