He is survived by his wife, Delora Short Traster; daughter, Christine (Mark) Post; sons, Robert Traster II and Craig (Tammy) Hollifield; grandchildren Katie (Jason) Bersch, Stephen (Simone) Post, Ian Hollifield, Kaleigh Beth (Thomas) Vanier, Zachary Hollifield and Molly Kate Hollifield; great-granddaughter, Bryleigh Rose Vanier; brothers, Earl Traster and David (Gaye) Traster and sister Ruth Mixter.
There will be a visitation on Saturday November 23, 2013 from 12:30p.m. to 1:30p.m., with a Funeral service to follow at 1:30p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 9608 US Highway 301 North, Parrish, FL 34219.
A burial with Military Honors will take place at Sarasota National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Faith Lutheran Church.
