He served his country with honor and distinction, finding himself stationed in Germany, where he dedicated himself to the service of his fellow soldiers and the preservation of freedom. His time in the Army instilled in him a deep sense of camaraderie, discipline, and commitment, qualities that would define his character in the years to come.
After completing his service, Roger returned home, where he met his first wife and had two sons Will and Thaddeus. Years later he would meet the love of his life Deborah. Their love story was one of enduring partnership, mutual respect, and unwavering support. Together, they built a life filled with joy, love, and cherished memories. Roger and Deborah's marriage stood as a shining example of love's endurance and the power of a steadfast, unbreakable bond.
Roger and Deborah were blessed with 2 more children, Johnny and Miranda. Roger's devotion to his family was unwavering, and he worked tirelessly to provide all of his children with everything they ever needed. He was a pillar of strength, a source of wisdom, and a loving father who always placed his family's well-being above all else. His children were the center of his world, and his guidance and love will forever resonate in their hearts.
In his role as a grandfather, Roger delighted in the joys of watching his family grow, which included the arrival of five grandchildren: Mallory, Noelle, Harry, Magnus, and Oden. He was an adoring and supportive presence in their lives, doting on them with love, humor, and admiration. His grandchildren will forever hold dear the memories of his warm embrace, playful spirit, and enduring love.

Roger's family invites all who knew and loved him to join them in at Sarasota Memorial Cemetery on Wednesday, February 21st 2024 for his military funeral with honors and then a celebration of life with food, drinks, smiles, and memories of his life immediately following the funeral to be held at 3015 Savanna Palms Ct. Bradenton Florida 34211.
