So sorry to hear of Ruth's passing; however, she certainly had a full life and always enjoyed it to the fullest. I was always amazed at some of the feats she would try...even into her 90's. She was such a dear friend for so many years to my Mom (Betty Stinson). We could never thank her enough for that. Ruth will be missed very much by so many.

So sorry to hear about Ruth's passing. Our prayers of comfort are with you at this time. She was such a wonderful person and lived life to its fullest. She was such an inspiration to me to enjoy life and to not be afraid to try new experiences. I remember always looking for her in the choir at FUMC. She did so much for my Mother and for that I will be eternally grateful. Sally (Stinson) Vanderwerf (and spouse, Roy)

Grandma Bates, graced my life with acceptance, love and kindness. I came into her life as a teenage with all those emotions and she showered me with love. She was a shining example of a strong Christian woman and will be truely missed here on earth. I know the heavens are rejoycing!
