Carolyn was born in Bradenton, Florida, to James Lewis (J.L.) Stephens and Nannie Lou (Howell) Stephens. She dedicated many years to her community as a rural letter carrier. A passionate reader, she also found joy in working puzzles and sharing her love of cooking with those around her. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Palmetto, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her four children: William Henry (Debbie) Rogers, Jr., Stephen Lewis Rogers, Carole Lynn (Rogers) Haile, and Brian Keith (Christina) Rogers, Sr. Carolyn was a beloved "Meme" to her grandchildren—Andrea, Julie, Jamie, Joshua, and Brian—as well as to her great-grandchildren.
Carolyn was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
