Thomas served in the United States Marine Corp. After serving in the military, he worked various jobs in Ohio prior to moving to Bradenton, FL in 1967. While in Bradenton, he was a police officer with the Anna Maria Police Department and a Deputy Sheriff with the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office. After retiring, he enjoyed woodworking.
Thomas was proceeded in death by his parents, four sisters; Liz, Mary, Helen and Joyce and one brother, Tony.
He is survived by his wife, Nixie P Bonadio of 69 years, three sons; Thomas Jr (Joy) of Lakeland, FL, Darryle (Dwayne) of Bradenton, FL, Glenn (Alison) of El Paso, TX and one daughter Nixie Miller (Wayne) of Beverly Hills, FL, four grandchildren; Kevin Miller (Joy) of Boulder, CO, Christina Inks (Larry) of Hornsby, TN, Michelle Bonadio (Carter) of Lakeland, FL and Alex Bonadio-Biggs of Bradenton, FL, and four great-grandchildren; Victoria Inks of Brooklyn, NY, Emily Miller of Seattle, WA, Lee Inks of Hornsby, TN and Tommy Bonadio of Lakeland, FL.
Interment will be at Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, FL.
