Truby "Joe" Mayes, age 83, died Tuesday, October 26, 2010. He resided in Ellenton for 37 years. He served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife June, two daughters, Eugena Wilson and Joy Snuffin, 7 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the family home in Palmetto on Saturday, October 30th. Arrangements are under the direction of Mansion Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Ellenton.
