The funeral will occur at 2:00 PM on Valentine's Day at the National Military Cemetery in Sarasota. You will be directed to the Chandler site then.

If you were lucky enough to be a friend of Ginny Pridell Chandler, you know how much fun, daring and mischievous she could be. If you were lucky enough to be her niece or nephew , then you saw that and more. 
   It wasn't Christmas until Aunt Ginny arrived at the farm in an outfit that showed off her wonderful figure...leather pants one year.  Her naturally dark hair was usually up, setting off those beautiful blue eyes.  She always brought an energy with her that you just wanted to be around.  
   As cousin Steve mentioned, her Christmas dish was always fruit salad made from real fruit, not canned, and real whip cream. She always used a hand beater. She was forced to use an electric mixer one Thanksgiving and it became photo worthy. 
  Our father, Frannie, adored his sister and Christmas was the time they could spend together remembering life on the farm. 
   She loved to giggle and not dwell on the negative.  A lesson for all.   We were blessed that she met Phil and had so many happy years being fun, daring and mischievous!

Sending hugs lake side from Star Lake, I remember her lighting up a room with her smile, ready for a hug even if you saw her the day before, always willing to help anyone out as well as many volunteer hours in our small community. She will always be remembered as we float by her home often.  I know 3 generations of our family that have thought the world of her.

My earliest childhood memory of Ginny was when arriving at her home she would ask me for a kiss, of course, I would run only to find myself pinned to the floor, kissed and noses rubbed. Some years later with Ginny swimming at my side she gave me the confidence to
swim on my own and then to water ski. As an adult I always enjoyed our visits and walks around Star Lake, the farm and to King Falls. Energetic, humorous, positive thinking and forward looking Ginny was a joy to be with. And, I am thankful for Philip's love for Ginny. Philip complimented Ginny's best qualities. They enjoyed each other and together they shared their joy with others.

My life, my love, my everything…that was  my Ginny.  She was so special.. I celebrate her life every day. Phil

I have so many wonderful memories, that I will always cherish of Aunt Ginny.  Every year when I was little I would look forward to standing next to you watching you make my favorite Thanksgiving dessert.  (Fruit Salad), with your homemade whip cream.  Our walks on the farm.  Catching minnows in your back yard on Star Lake.  Swimming with you across Star Lake, you in your 80's and I was in my late 40's.  Uncle Philip would follow us in the canoe.  I think he was more worried about me.  I was out of breath, and you looked up to the sky, when we reached the other side... and said "Nice day, ready to head back?" One of the most special days was when you and Uncle Philip took Olivia and I for a ride on your dock.  We went all around Star Lake.  These are just a few of the many fond memories.   I agree Kirk, Uncle Philip was the BEST thing to happen to Aunt Ginny.  They were an amazing couple.  Until we meet again.  I love you, Steve

I am going to miss my Aunt Ginny so much.  We were so fortunate to visit her and Philip every trip we made to Florida.  My Dad always told me about Ginny leading the marching band during the local parades in Carthage NY during WWII.  Such a dynamic woman, who lived life to the fullest.  I was so proud of her and have so many treasured memories with my favorite Aunt.
We are grieving her loss with you Uncle Philip - so wish we could be with you right now. You were the best thing that ever happened to her, thank you for the life the two of you shared. We will all miss her very, very much.
