He loved fishing, golfing and taking care of his garden. He loved and trusted God and he cared deeply for his family. His smile and laugh could light up a room. But when he raised his voice, you knew things were getting serious. He worked for many years in the waste management industry and finally retired after dedicating many years of his life working hard and being dedicated to the business and the multitude of colleagues and friends he met along the way.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Oliver, his daughter, Vinetta Spencer, his sister, Edna Greenwood and sister-in-law, Gwendolyn Poole.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife of 46 years, Thomasena Spencer and his brother, Jack (Glenda) Lewis. He leaves behind his legacy of living life to the fullest, working hard and caring for others to his children, Gary Spencer, Zita (Robert) Gieger, Lora Spencer, Winifred Spencer-Merritt, Gregg (Lisa) Harden, Toni (Scott) Garrett, and Winfred T.
