Its going on two years since you left and i miss you like it was yesterday i wish you was here i have so much i need to say to you and talk to you about but i no GOD has you and im good with that LOVE ALWAYS YOUR SON BIG WILL LOVE YOU MOM

I miss you, grandma Mattie. Every day that I spend without you is just another day I want to spend with you. The hole in my heart is getting bigger without you. Nothing seems to be going the way its supposed to. Everything is falling apart. And you would be the only one who could help and help me get through this. Home should be everyone's safe place but its not mine. Your were my safe place and you always will be. I always had a special connection with you and I hope I never lose that. I miss you so much. Nothing seems right anymore. I could always come to you and blab about anything..but you'd always listen. No one else will. I love you Grandma Mattie Rest In Peace. :-)

Thank you for everything you have done for me and my family.Thank you for the nights you came over.Thank you for every meal you've cooked.Thank you for it all.We will miss you,your loving spirit, and your full heart,You loved each and everyone of your kids,grandkids,and family.Me and my mother sat in her bed talking and we realized that me and my little sister were your last grandkids,which makes me even more thankful to have you as my grandmother, I would always be behind your every step like a lost dog and would always sleep over your house and sleep in the bed with you even though I'm eleven years old.Your soul will forever be in my mind,heart and spirit.I think of you every waking morning. Your voice still rings in my head every night.Whenever I'm sad I just remember what I have of you,the book from you dresser,and the dress from your room.I sit and think about your voice,it always makes me feel closer to you.You loved each of us in your own special way,and right now your dancing and singing with the beautiful angels NOW you are a beautiful angel.As long as we know your watching over us...We can keep our strong smiles on our faces.You wouldn't want us to cry,No. You would want us to smile and be happy for you, to be happy you didn't have to suffer or pass away in pain or the pain of another person,but in your peacefully sleep.It helps us by knowing you steps on the stairs on your way to the best place of all,Heaven. To Matties family I was very sad to learn of Matties death, Mattie was a very good friend. She was someone who told you what you needed to here even when you did not want to face the truth. I confided in her and seeked her advice often. I will miss her and will pray for her family.

My sincerest condolences for the Turner family. I was very saddened to hear about Mattie's passing. May you and your loved ones find comfort in the promise found in God's word at Is. 25: 8 during this difficult time.

My heart is heavy with what is a reality seems so surreal. It is with a heavy heart that my family has suffered a loss of one of our GREAT matriarchs, my Great Aunt, Mattie Turner, who has gone home to be with the Lord, we will miss her dearly. Yes, this is a sad occasion for my family but we will celebrate her life and the memories she has given to each of us. We know to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. To my cousins Deborah Turner-Blair, Charles, Lewis and Willie; Tamela Watkins, Kenya Sloan and Cortney Todd, and all of my Smith family of the late Lougene and Dora Butler-Smith, know that heaven is about be turned up with the Smith Sisters  I love you guys!!!
