

Antonio B Martinez, born on August 9, 1948, in Casa Grande, Arizona, passed away on November 10, 2025, in Mesa, Arizona. He was a dedicated and respected employee of the Union Pacific Railroad, where he devoted 40 years of his career before retiring from the company. Antonio also proudly served his country with distinction, having spent two decades in the National Guard after his service in the Army. His military journey included service in the Vietnam War, Desert Storm, and Iraq.
Antonio was known for his light-hearted and goofy personality, which endeared him to many. However, those who knew him best understood that he could be serious when necessary. He lived a life filled with joy and love, most notably sharing 39 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Josie T. Martinez, who passed away April 10th 2010. Together, they raised their son, Antonio T. Martinez, who carries forward the legacy of dedication and compassion that Antonio embodied.
A man of many interests, Antonio delighted in grilling, hiking, target shooting, and thrifting at yard sales and Goodwill stores. He found immense pleasure in working on his vehicles and bike. His love for nature led him to spend time in the desert, where he enjoyed providing water and food to local animals. Music played a significant role in his life, especially oldies and Spanish music, which he loved to listen to and dance to with his Wife Yolanda. Antonio also cherished moments spent watching football alongside his son and always valued time with his family through his unconditional love.
Antonio leaves behind a loving family, including his spouse Yolanda Martinez, son Antonio T. Martinez, siblings Rosalia Ortega, Brijido Martinez, Mary Lou Neville, Amalia Bustos, Miguel Martinez, Margie Martinez, as well as six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. His legacy will continue through those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
Antonio B Martinez will be remembered as a devoted family man, a steadfast friend, and a patriot who served his country with honor. His contributions to both his family and community will be deeply missed.
A funeral service will be help at 9AM on Monday 11/24 at the Gardens Chapel in Casa Grande, AZ, a burial will follow at Eloy memorial Park.
