Josie was a lifelong resident of Eloy, where she built a life full of love, laughter, and faith. She attended Santa Cruz High School, where she proudly played in the band and was once crowned Eloy’s Fiesta Patrias Queen. Later, she earned her degree in Culinary Arts from Central Arizona College, one of her proudest accomplishments.
A talented cook and an even better baker, Josie was famous for her carrot cake, which she lovingly made each year for all seven of her tías. Her tuna casserole was legendary among family and friends, a dish that no one could ever quite replicate. The kitchen was truly her domain when Josie was cooking, everyone knew to give her space to work her magic.
Josie’s heart was as big as her talent. She devoted herself to her children, parents, and extended family, always putting their needs before her own. She was the glue that held her family together and a loyal friend to many. Each friendship unique and deeply valued. Even her relationship with her ex-husband, Chris Ramirez, remained strong; they continued to share a special bond as lifelong friends.
She loved shopping with her mother at Goodwills and yard sales, always finding hidden treasures and unbeatable bargains. She had a collector’s spirit and kept everything meticulously organized.
Her faith in God was unwavering. Josie was a devoted member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Eloy, where she joyfully served as a Sunday School teacher. She found great peace and purpose in worship and service.
Josie was also a beloved member of the J. Warren Funeral Services family, where she worked with compassion, dedication, and grace. Her care for others shone through in everything she did, she went above and beyond for the families she served, offering comfort and love in their times of need.
Despite facing health challenges, Josie’s determination and strength never wavered. She lived her life with generosity, courage, and faith, embodying what it truly means to have a selfless heart.
She is survived by her daughters Sheena, Sherri, Khrystila, and Karrissa; her sons Joshua and Juan; her parents Richard and Janie Vidal; her brother Richard Vidal; and her two beloved grandchildren, Haleigh and Noah. She passed away with her son Lorenzo Vidal and was preceded in death by her son, Santos Ramirez, and her brother, Donnie Vidal.
Josie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her light, love, and kindness will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
