Julie Martinez Romero was on June 26, 1951, in Casa Grande, Arizona to Blanca Macazan Chavez. Blanca M. Chavez and Meregildo Chavez, Sr raised three sons and three daughters. Julie was the oldest, then Sofia M. Chavez, and Mary Helen Chavez Ibanez. Her three brothers, Meregildo M. Chavez, Jr., Arturo M. Chavez, Sr., and David M. Chavez, Sr.
Julie was married to Luis Romero, II. Together they raised two sons, Louis Romero, III and Raynaldo Romero.
Julie was preceded in death by her husband, Luis, her parents Blanco M. and Meregildo Chavez, Sr. and two brothers, Meregildo M. Chavez, Jr. and Arturo M. Chavez, Sr.
She loved listening to music (all kinds), dancing and singing, as well as drawing, telling jokes and putting on her “war paint” when she dressed up.
Julie was a daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, nana, great nana, niece, and mother-in-law who was loved by all her family.
She also enjoyed cooking for her family and playing with her grandchildren.
Julie was called “Jewels”, her nickname by family.
She will be greatly missed but always in our hearts
