Marquis Marcos Jaquez

October 4, 1990 – July 29, 2025

Marquis Marcos Jaquez, 34, of Marana, Arizona, went home to be with the Lord on July 29, 2025. Born on October 4, 1990, in Casa Grande, Arizona, Marquis was the beloved son of Josie Valdez and Mark Jaquez, both of Eloy, Arizona.

Marquis was a beam of light to all who knew him, with many lovingly calling him a “Gentle Giant.” His faith in Jesus guided his steps, and he strove each day to fulfill his purpose in Christ. His kind spirit, warm smile, and unwavering love for others touched countless lives.

He is survived by his grandparents Frances Gutierrez and Marcos Jaquez both of Eloy Arizona; Great Grandmother Margaret Remigio of Florence Arizona; brothers Ronnie Lopez Jr. of Helena, Montana, Jared Lopez and Ricardo Sandoval Jr. of Eloy, Arizona; and sisters Alexis Lopez and Alyssa Lopez, both of Florence, Arizona. Marquis is also survived by his beloved dog, Shadow, who was his faithful companion.

Marquis was preceded in death by his grandmothers Lucy Martinez and Diana Burciaga, both of Eloy, Arizona, and his uncle Carlos Gutierrez of Casa Grande, Arizona.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Crossroads Church, 2024 E. Florence Blvd, Casa Grande, AZ 85122.
