Angelina Malfa was born on August 24, 1922 in New York City and she was raised in the Bronx with her 3 sisters (Ellen, Marie and Veronica) and 2 brothers (Joseph and William) by her parents Mauretta and father Louis DiPace. There she met the love of her life Philip Malfa.
Because of her love for sewing, Angelina attended trade school at the Sewing Studio in New York City and became a seamstress by trade. Her treasured possession was the sewing machine and scissors her father purchased for her at the beginning of her studies.
Angelina loved cooking for anyone but especially for her family. That is how she shared her love. Her hobbies were her family, bingo and watching “Everyone Loves Raymond”
As our family’s matriarch, Angelina had three children (Linda, Diana and Phillip), six grandchildren (Kenny, Nicholas, Kristopher, Kaihla, Stephen and Serefina), six great grandchildren (Ashley, Patrick, Ezra, Justin, Gabriella and Norah) and three great-great grandchildren (Rino, Liam, and Arya).
Angelina had a career in retail working at Korvetts and Saks 5th Ave. in New York.
Angelina moved to San Diego after the death of her Beloved Philip Malfa and lived with her daughter Diana and family. Notable throughout the years were her abounding love, kind heart and infectious smile. Outside of her family, Angelina’s most important person was her hair dresser as she faithfully had her hair done every week until her death. She always took pride in her appearance both inside and out.
She will be loved and missed Always but never forgotten.
