Dorothea Alberta Bullock

Dorothea” Dottie” Alberta Bullock ⁃ Passed away May 11th 2018. Dottie was born to Lillian and Walter Bustin on November 23rd 1928. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Charles Gilbert Bullock in 2013. They had 62 wonderful years of marriage. She leaves behind two daughters. Kathleen Ann Moberg of Mammoth Lakes California and Linda Eileen Leslie of Encinitas, California. She had four grandchildren which are Brian Moberg, Scott Moberg, Heather Leslie and Dylan Leslie along with their spouses. ⁃ Dottie learned to ice skate at a very young age and joined the Ice Capades with her sister Betty Bustin when she was 14. Her mother Lillian worked as an assistant and they traveled the country together. Dottie was one of the Ice Capets. She also skated a couple of seasons in the Sonja Henie ice skating stage show at the Center Theater in New York City. ⁃ In 1951 she married the love of her life Gil Bullock. Together they had their two daughters Kathy and Linda. They moved from the East out to California in 1966 where they started Turner and Bullock Insurance agency. They discovered their love for golf and had many friends that they played with. ⁃ After retiring Dottie and Gil enjoyed golf and cross-country travel in one of their many motorhomes. They especially loved driving up to Mammoth Lakes to visit Their daughter Kathy and her husband Wayne along with their grandsons Brian and Scott. They also made fourteen trips to the East coast to visit family from the Bullock side. ⁃ Dottie was a very loving mother and grandmother. She had a great affection for animals and they rescued greyhounds. She also enjoyed using the computer to make greeting cards and writing emails to her friends and family. Dottie loved music and learned to play the organ and piano. She also loved to crochet. She will be greatly missed by all her knew her. In her later years she was taken care of lovingly by the many caregivers who loved her like their own mother .She was treated with dignity and respect by these angels that made her life easier and much more fun. ⁃ A celebration of her life will be at El Camino Memorial , Encinitas, Ca. ⁃ 340 Melrose Ave. Encinitas ⁃ Monday July 9th at 11:30 am.
