Elizabeth was a longtime resident of Moonlight Beach in Encinitas, where she deeply enjoyed the changing colors of the ocean, spotting whales and dolphins, appreciating the shape and movement of the waves, soaking up the sun, and body surfing (but only once the ocean had warmed up enough).
Prior to her retirement, she worked for Callaway Golf. She started with Callaway in its early years and worked as VP of Human Resources. She saw her role as supporting the growth of employees, unearthing their potential, and recognizing their humanity. Her colleagues greatly appreciated her pragmatic care and humorous approach to tricky situations.
Elizabeth was deeply kind and generous. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels for years, delivering food and companionship to seniors in the community. Every year, she supported families in need by providing holiday gifts and school supplies. She also took a personal interest in her neighbors who were unhoused. She spent time getting to know them and learning their stories. She provided them with practical support, always in a way that recognized their human dignity.
Elizabeth found great joy in the natural world - camping, hiking, sailing, fishing, and spending time being in the company of animals. She also loved traveling and treasured the trips she made with her mother Dolores (Scherer) Mullane, daughter Suki, son-in-law Darren Mozenter, grandchild Sacha Mozenter, and partner Tracey Springstead.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents, L. Wayne and Dolores Mullane, and her sisters, Nancy and Mary Ellen Mullane. She is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law Denise and Mike Falette and Ginger and Larry Fries, her brothers and sisters-in-law Michael and Lindlee Baker Mullane and George and Cindi Mullane, and her brother-in-law Tom Deasy. She is also survived by her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchild Suki, Darren, and Sacha Mozenter, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is profoundly missed by many.
Donations may be made in her honor to Just in Time for Foster Youth. A small family service will be held at a later date.
