

Jacob “Jack” Zwart III, beloved husband, father, brother, friend, passed away in San Diego, February 21, 2023, at the age of 78. His wife Dayle, children Kimberly and Christopher, and his sister Chrissy, were at his side. Jack lived a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. He was born May 19, 1944 in Los Angeles, California.
Jack was known for his outgoing personality. He brought joy and laughter to those around him. As a husband and father, Jack was devoted and caring, cherishing every moment spent with his wife and children.
As a young boy he loved that he had the freedom to explore and did lots of fishing with his uncles, later his interests were cars and skiing. He was always enthusiastic about joining groups that shared his interests, palms, figs, Koi, and of course having lots of fun with his children. Jack also contributed his electrical expertise for half a century founding Southland Electric in San Diego.
Jack is survived by his wife of 50 years Dayle, his children Kimberly and Christopher, his sisters Jeanne Cannon, Teri Zwart, and Christina Venable, and his brothers Tom Zwart and Joe Zwart.
A Celebration of Life in honor of Jack will be held Saturday August 26, 2023, from 1pm until 4pm, at Morgan Run Club & Resort, 5690 Cancha de Golf, Rancho Santa Fe. This gathering will be a time for family and friends to come together, share stories, and celebrate Jack’s life. A memory album will be available for anyone wishing to share and record a special memory or story about Jack. Your contribution may also be sent via email.

Jack Zwart will be forever remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, and cherished friend. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
