Kay Sauers (Klocke) was born on August 3, 1942, in upstate New York, and grew up one of four children to LeRoy and Ethel Klocke. In her early 20’s, she embarked on a new chapter, moving to California with a close friend—a journey that marked a defining moment in her life.
In November 1965, Kay married her love, Robert Sauers, and together they built a warm and loving home in Orange County raising twin daughters. Years later, Bob and Kay built a custom home in Fallbrook, CA, where they both retired and adored being grandparents.
Kay is survived by her daughter, Deborah Mori, three grandchildren; Kainoa Mori, Delaney and Audrey Johnson, sister Nancy Falcone, and brother Ward Klocke. She was preceded in death by her parents LeRoy and Ethel, brother Red, her husband Robert, daughter Cindy Johnson, and son-in-law Russell Mori – who now welcome her with open arms.
Though she will be deeply missed, Kay’s spirit and the love she shared live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Her legacy is carried forward through her daughter and grandchildren, and in the countless lives touched by her kindness.
