Keith A. Campbell, a longtime resident of East Longmeadow, MA who spent his final months in Solana Beach, CA, died on Monday, July 29, 2019 beside his loving daughters Laura Campbell-Sills and Chrissy Redmond. Keith was born in Camden, NJ on December 8, 1945, the son of Pearl (Schepacarter) Campbell and the late George K. Campbell. He spent his childhood in Collingswood, NJ. Keith attended Rutgers University and then married Nancy Youngblood in 1969. Keith and Nancy made their home in Springfield, MA, where Keith pursued a law degree at Western New England College. After attaining his law degree, Keith started a practice focused on real estate law and soon relocated with Nancy to what would become their family home in East Longmeadow, MA.
Keith and Nancy had many great times together before her passing in 2011, particularly on family vacations to the Jersey shore and celebrating the marriages of their daughters to sons-in-law Jonathan and James, and the births of their grandchildren Sophie, Charlotte, Liam, and Benjamin. In the final months of Keith’s life, he fulfilled his dream of living the California lifestyle in Solana Beach.
One of Keith’s greatest treasures in life was being a “Pop Pop” and spending time with his California granddaughters and Boston grandsons. He also loved music, golf, gardening, and the everyday joys of life. His optimism and determination were admired, and his kindness enhanced the lives of those around him.
Keith was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy A. Campbell and his father, George K. Campbell. Keith will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him including his mother, Pearl S. Campbell of Longmeadow, MA; his daughters, Laura Campbell-Sills and her husband Jonathan of Del Mar, CA, and Chrissy Redmond and her husband James of Charlestown, MA; his grandchildren, Sophie and Charlotte Sills and Liam and Benjamin Redmond; his uncle Florian Schepacarter and his wife Marlene of Jersey City, NJ; his brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
