Kimberly Hirsch was born in Stockton, California, and raised by her single mother, Oreta Rait Dull. At a young age, Kim picked up a camera and began her journey to award winning photographer. The path included a couple of career stops. First, as a Certified Dental Technician (CDT) and dental lab owner. Then as a sales representative and technical instructor for 2 dental products companies.
In 1994, Kim retired from the dental industry. Upon her retirement, her passion for photography was reignited with classes at Palomar College in San Marcos, CA.
Kim was a charter member of the Photo Arts Group (PAG). She began showing her work, along with other PAG members, at Inner Space in the Escondido Arts Partnership Municipal Gallery in 2004. Her work also shows at The Wellness Center in Vista, CA. She has received numerous awards at the San Diego International Photography Competition each summer at the San Diego County Fair.
Kim leaves behind the love of her life of 25 years, husband Rob Hirsch; 3 loving and loyal “fur-kid” companions, her chihuahuas Ansel, Sophie, and Luna; and family and friends who will always keep her dear in their hearts
Her soul will live on in our hearts; her creativity in her art; her art in our lives.
