Michael Frank Muratore, 90, passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of April 29, 2025, after a long illness. Born on February 7, 1935, in West Warwick, Rhode Island, Michael was the son of the late Joseph Muratore and the late Julia Carsetti Muratore and was brother to the late Josephine Sinapi. He was a proud graduate of West Warwick Senior High School, Class of 1953. At the age of 22, Michael answered the call to serve his country, joining the U.S. Navy where he rose to the rank of First Petty Officer, Second Class. After his time in uniform, he brought his sharp mind and steady hands to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, working as a computer systems analyst and retiring after 30 years of service. He is survived by his beloved wife, Helen Muratore, his children, Michael Muratore, and Michelle Thibault and her husband Edward. His love multiplied through his six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, who will remember him for his warmth and wisdom. When he wasn’t busy being a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Michael could be found perfecting his aim — whether on the trap shooting range, the bowling alley, the tennis court, or the golf course. His competitive spirit was matched only by his sense of humor, making every game as memorable as it was fun.
