Molly E.J. Marino

Molly was born Nov. 20, 1933 in Arica, Chile to Luis Rolando and Maria Elena Noce. She is predeceased by her father, mother, brother, and her loving husband Javier who she was married to for 41 years. She is survived by her daughter Molly Anne Chadwick (Vince), grandchildren Andrew and Anita, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Molly grew up in Arica, helped work in her mother’s clothing boutique and studied at Colegio Ingles in Iquique. She met Javier in Lima, Peru then they moved to Oakland, CA where they married in 1957. During Javier’s employment, they raised their family in many countries including Chile, Columbia, Venezuela, Spain and eventually settled in Lafayette, CA. Molly enjoyed classical music, playing the piano, singing, operas, painting, cooking, and family gatherings. She moved to San Diego in 1999. She enjoyed spending time with her daughter and grandchildren including sporting events, holiday festivities and visiting with friends.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to the nurses, caregivers, and staff at OGH/Ranch View Encinitas for their kindness, compassionate care, activities, sing-a-longs and helping Molly feel at home.

Memorial service will be held on July 8, 2022 11:30am at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Lafayette, CA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org) in honor of Molly.
