Heaven has another beautiful soul. She will be fondly remembered daily and sorely missed by her husband of 60 years, David Hill, her children-Jeff & Kathy Hill, Doug & Beth Hill, Glenn Hill & Charlie Kurys, Tim & Jen Hill, and Heather Hill & Russ Randall, and her 6 Grandchildren- Caitlyn, Jesse, Joshua, Jason, Warren, and Roger, and step-grandson, Casamir, his wife, Courtney, and beautiful great- grandchild, Briar, her Brother in-law, Chauncey Dance, and numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family.
She is greeted by all of her siblings, Mother, Father, and other waiting relatives at the opened Golden Gates of Heaven.
She was an AVID baseball fan of the entire clan of Hill family boys, Brownies and Girl Scouts in Cheshire, and she was a founder of the Cheshire 4-H Hoofbeats, involved in 4-H in both New Haven and Tolland Counties in CT. A Mother to, and loved by, all. She enjoyed creating magical childhoods with her husband for all if their children, grandchildren, and great- grandchild. And, she welcomed everyone into our festivities, as one of our family.
She met her Soulmate, and Husband at UConn, where they both graduated from, and she was a Sorority Sister of Delta Zeta.
She loved the water, even though she didn't like to swim, and every summer she spent time with our family at Long Pond in Harwich, MA, where she resided, along with winters in Englewood, FL, making many friends at all places.
She was employed with the YMCA in New Haven, State of CT, Department of Education, and University of Connecticut, Admissions Office in Storrs, CT, but her most enjoyable was her being an Owner of G.H. Waring Continental Gift Shop, which started her on the path to Founding and Owning the Husky Greek Shop, a Fraternity and Sorority store which she started from scratch. It combined her creative spark of sewing with her love of her Sorority at UConn.
She was so involved with everything that her children were in, it is hard to figure out where she found all of the time.
Wife, Mom, and Nanny. She is forever in our hearts, prayers, souls, and loved, missed, and thought of throughout all of our days.
