Originally from Orchard Lake Michigan, Curtis resided in Rotonda West for the last 40 years.
Curtis was preceded in death by his daughter Alison Roemer, Parents Frank and Alice Roemer and Sister Marge Phelan.
He was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother.
He is survived by his wife Pauline, Daughter Janice Roemer-Burtch (Mark) Grandchildren Collin, Ian and Emma. Son, Bradley Roemer and Daughter preceded in death Alison Roemer, Grandchildren Orion, Griffin and Duncan.
Brothers, Glenn (Mary) Roemer, Steve (MaryLynn) Roemer, Dennis (Sylvia) Roemer and Sister MaryAlice Dustman (Bob).
Many nieces and nephews.
Curtis passion as a young man was getting his Pilot license at the age of 18 and enjoying flying throughout his life with family and friends. Curtis attended Alma College and proudly served in the US Army in the United Kingdom.
Curtis worked for Chrysler and also was owner operator with his brother Glenn of Nelson Brake Service. After moving to Florida Curtis was self employed on Boca Grande.
Curtis enjoyed spending his summers with his wife Pauline in England. When Curtis wasn’t flying or fishing he was always working on Antique cars, attending Car Shows with his 1955 Studebaker.
In his retirement years Curtis carried great pride in his Grandchildren, spending time going to there sporting events and school activities.
He will be missed by his family. A Celebration of Life will be held this summer.
