Helen P. Kazanecki

January 26, 1935September 8, 2021

Our Mother Helen Blanchard Kazanecki was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 26th 1935 to Frank Blanchard and Virginia Murray Blanchard and she went to heaven on September 9th, 2021. She worked in New York City in Insurance until she married our father Edward Kazanecki in August 1964. They had three daughters, Jill Kazanecki, Carrie Kazanecki, and Kim Kazanecki Toth. In her youth mom loved to go to Vermont to ski and out to Long Island to the beaches. After us kids came along she loved to take us sleigh riding and to the beach and to every garage sale she could find. When our father passed away she eventually found love with our step father Ken Bellois and we relocated to Grove City/Englewood Fl. Mom loved to walk the beaches here collecting sharks teeth. She was also an avid Bingo player and loved to hit the casinos every now and then and boy did she love to dance. Mom also loved to go to plays on Broadway or even dinner theater. She worked at Whiskey Corners (Woods Lounge) until they closed and eventually opened her own bar called Helen's Place in the building where the Faull Inn is currently occupied. She loved her Grandsons Colin and Corey Toth with a passion. She had many friends and acquaintances through her work. She was a member of the VFW and MOOSE in Englewood. Mom was a FUN, strong woman and will be greatly missed by anyone who was lucky enough to know her. She is joining in heaven her parents, brother Gerard Erbacher, husband Edward, longtime companion Ken, Granddaughter Amanda Jean, and our beloved dogs Corkie and Penny. Survivors include daughters Jill Kazanecki, Carrie Kazanecki, Kim Kazanecki Toth, son in law Roger Toth , Grandchildren Colin and Corey Toth , and Gypsy the cat. In lieu of flowers please make a donation In mom's name to Tidewell Hospice of Englewood.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday September 24 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a celebration of life at 6:00 p.m. at Lemon Bay Funeral Home of Englewood.

You were an amazing woman Helen, that touched so many lives. Always had a smile on your face and laughing eyes. I remember going to Bingo with you, it was always so much fun. You left behind a wonderful Legacy and will be sorely missed. Fly High with the Angels Beautiful Lady!

I went to high-school with Jill and spent many after school afternoons (and ate many meals) at their house. On graduation night Helen gave me a card with a $50 bill in it (a big deal for me back then) and I remember her generosity to this day. My deepest condolences to Jill, her siblings and those who shared their daily life with Helen.

I had the pleasure of traveling with Helen and Carrie to Alaska. It was a trip of a lifetime and everyone had fun. Helen was a hoot. I remember spending a lot of time in the casino with Helen, something I don’t usually do. She won often, also something I don’t usually do. Rest In Peace Helen. You will be missed!! Continued thoughts and prayers to her family and friends.
