He was the son of James Boen and Wilhelmena Smidt, born on July 29, 1937 in Portsmouth, England.
He was married to his beautiful wife, Beverly Mae Boen, for over 60 years, who passed away on September 17, 2018.
James is survived by Cynthia Brennan, Daughter, James Boen, Jr., Son, Granddaughter Jacquelyn R. Wickson and Ronald Wickson, Great Grandchildren, Mark James Guenther and Saylor Mae Wickson and a Step Sister Betty who resides in England. Also surviving are his Step Grandchildren, Kevin Brennan, Roseanne Dixon and Katie Roos, along with many Step Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and a Special Cousin, Moireen Chandler and Her Husband, Robert Chandler and many dear close friends. James was considered as "Everyone's Grandpa" who loved life.
Jim loved spending his time with family and friends reminiscing on all the good times shared together.
His loved ones and friends will remember him as a kind loving person, who always gave from his heart, putting everyone before himself.
