Lara Simpson Loughlin

Lara Loughlin passed away on August, 28th 2021 at the age of 27 years old. She was a mother- to- be, with her baby boy Alan to be born in February, 2022. Lara was born in New York City, and was raised in New York until she was nine years old where her and her family moved to Dorset, Vermont. She spent ten years in the countryside of Dorset, Vermont with her older sister Melissa Loughlin Jr. and her mother Melissa Loughlin Sr. Her grandmother Carol Colin also lived in Vermont, but she had a home on Boca Grande Island where Lara spent a lot of time with her and her family. She studied at the University of Vermont with her older sister, and was studying to be a nurse and was passionate about political science. Lara was extremely loving, charismatic, tenacious, and touched everyone she was in contact with. A celebration of Lara’s life has been held on her favorite island by her favorite beach, on September 1st, 2021.
