Venice, FL. Leora Joyce Eastman went to be with her heavenly father after a sudden illness. Joyce passed peacefully at The Tidewell Hospice House in Venice, Florida. She was born September 6, 1944, daughter of Charles and Nova Mae (Jones) Stokes. Joyce resided her entire life in Alexandria, Indiana. She worked at RCA in Marion, Indiana. After leaving RCA, she worked part-time at The Added Touch, Frankton, Indiana doing flower arrangements.
After retiring, Joyce and her husband, William, made Florida their permanent home. She loved her life in Florida. She was always helping family and friends by working in the garden, canning, and anything else that needed to be done. She was a beautiful woman who walked in grace. She loved deeply and was a blessing to anyone who knew her. May she rest in peace with the Lord.
She is survived by her children, Troy (Deb) Eastman, Leora (Rick) Bogue, and Jeff (fiancée Vera) Eastman; five grandchildren, Anthony Eastman, Alex Eastman, Elisha Bogue, Michael Bogue, Jessica Kitchen; five great-grandchildren; sister Donna Pennington; brothers, Wayne Stokes and Travis Stokes; plus nieces and nephews. She will be truly missed by everyone who knew her and loved her.
Joyce as preceded in death by her husband of 59 years (Bill), mother and father, father-in-law Freemont Eastman, Grandparents, bother Kenny Stokes, brother-in-law Walt Williams, sister Carolyn Todd, nephew Terry Noland, uncle-in-law Ray Stelter, niece Jane Ann Coleman, and nephew Tyler Coleman.
Burial arrangements will be at later date.
