Shirley “Sis” and Chuck Smith, grandchildren Robin Kleismit, Ryan Smith, Chris Portemont, and

pet dog Jolie. Betty leaves to cherish her memory a daughter Jonisa (Suzanne) Portemont, son

Michael (Lisa) Portemont, grandchildren Jason (Missy) Portemont, Jeffery (Kathleen)

Portemont, Jessie Cable and fiance Mark Vella, Sammy (Alisha) Buckner lll, and Stephan

Buckner and his partner Tom Snyder, also surviving great-grandchildren Mathew, Alexandria,

Sammy lV, AJ, Jac, Kristabelle, Nolan, Noah, Seth, Marissa, Keegan, daughter in-laws

Stephanie Portemont, and Kathy Portemont. Special people in her life Helen Marie Fortune,

Kathy, Calvin, and Kacey Martin, Dawn Gilbert, Lisa Robbins, Luke and Matthew Couch, Shirlie,

Matthew, and Rachel King, Cynthia Cable, and beloved dogs Ruby and Katie. Betty was a 1949

graduate of Van Buren High School in Brazil Indiana, retired from the Northmont City

Schools-Phillipsburg Elementary after 25+years where she worked in food service. She loved

kids, playing cards, and “telling her life story” to everyone. Please bring a covered dish and join

Betty’s family for a potluck and celebration of Betty’s life on February 9, 2019 2-5pm at the

Phillipsburg, OH Community Center, 10868 Brookville - Phillipsburg Road.
