SIMPSON, Christopher L. “Chris” 52 of Dayton, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 27, 2014. Chris is survived by his beloved wife of 13 years, Marlene (Serwetnyk) Simpson, daughter Brooke Simpson; grandchildren Triniti & James Jr. of Clayton; his parents Joe & Mable (Powell) Simpson of Trotwood. Also surviving are two brothers and sisters-in-law Ken & Kathleen of Springboro, Gerald & Sheryl of Englewood; sister Cheryl Overholt of Pomona Park, FL; nieces and nephews Denia (Tony) Greer of Beavercreek, Jennifer (Philip) Hobbs of Crescent City, FL, Ryan (Amanda) Simpson of Abeline, TX, Jamie Overholt of Jacksonville, FL, special family Nick & Theresa Lakiotis of Chicago. Chris worked for Avery Dennison in Miamisburg for 30 years and was a graduate of Trotwood Madison High School class of 1981. There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends, Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from 5 to 8 pm at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME ENGLEWOOD CHAPEL, 675 West Wenger Road. There will also be a Gathering of Family and Friends at Preble Memory Gardens Chapel, 3377 US 35 East, West Alexandria, Ohio on Thursday, October 2, 2014 starting at 12 noon followed by a Celebration of Chris’ Life at 1 pm with Pastor Philip Hobbs presiding. Burial will be in Preble Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers a Love Offering may be made to Marlene in memory of Chris.
