Grace Chaney, 95 of Englewood, passed away at Hospice of Dayton at 5:15 am on Thursday, January 31, 2018. Born August 1, 1922 Bootle, Liverpool, England, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Spedding) Wynne. She was preceded in death by her parents, a twin sister, Gladys Wynne and her loving husband of 49 years, Willard Chaney. She is survived and will be missed by a sister-in-law, Dorothy (Francis) Fellows of Arizona, her loving children, Gladys Staley, Susan Hamilton, Joseph (Joy) Chaney, Dodie (David) Spurlock and Patty (Ron) Boeckman, all from the Dayton area. Grace also enjoyed the love of many extended family, ‘adopted nieces and nephews’, and friends too numerous to mention. ‘Amazing’ Grace loved her family, loved to fish, was very active all her life and was an avid reader. Her loved ones find comfort in knowing that Grace is not only in the arms of our Lord, but back in the arms of her husband Willard. What a wonderful lady and my wife and I were so fortunate to know her. My wife Deb passed away 1/2/2018 at Cypress Pointe. Prior to that Gracie and her dear friend Lenora extended so many acts of kindness to both my wife and myself. You certainly have to acknowledge those that stand by you during the tough, difficult times and Gracie will always be remembered as a dear friend.
