MACKE, Helen, 101 of Englewood, died Friday, November 16, 2012. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 11, 1911 the daughter of Alex and Anna Wagner who preceded her in death. Helen was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years Melvin in 1988. Helen always had a smile on her face and hug for everyone who knew her. She enjoyed travel, bingo and cards, but most of all she enjoyed her family. For 24 years she made her home with her only child, Annette and her husband Charles Oblinger of Clayton. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, Theresa (Charles) Vandersluijs, Michael Bonkowski, Melea (Joel) Butcher all of Dayton; great-grandchildren Derek (Stacy) Vandersluijs, Alex (Paige) Vandersluijs, Gretchen Vandersluijs; great-great-grandson Luka Vandersluijs. Also surviving are her extended family Linda Sluder, Lisa Frye, Michael Oblinger, Michelle Oblinger, Jeff Oblinger. Helen was a very special lady who found joy in everyday living and love in living everyday. She will be missed more than words can say. Private graveside services will be held at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens at the convenience of her family.
