Banta, Jeannette Rose, age 91 of Dayton passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2011. Born July 30, 1919 in Ansonia, Ohio to the late Charles and Anna (Rehmert) Rose, she was the beloved wife of the late Merlyn A. Banta; devoted mother of the late Donald Banta and surviving daughter Carol Koopman and her husband Richard C.Koopman. Jeannette was the dear grandmother of Cheryl A. Koopman and Alan J. Koopman and great-grandmother of Kamryn L. Koopman. She has three surviving sisters: Irene Atherton, Betty Rose, and Joanne Rose, and four deceased sisters: Wilma Rentz, Emma Bassett, Alice Poling, and Mary Sink. She was a lifelong member of the Eastern Star. Memorial service will be held at 1PM, Saturday May 7, 2011 at Tobias Funeral Home-Englewood Chapel, 675 West Wenger Road with a visitation from 12noon until the time of service. Donations in Jeannette’s name may be sent to your favorite charity or the National Ataxia Foundation, the National Leukemia Foundation or the American Heart Association.
