Kenneth C Pickell

PICKELL, Ken, unmarried, age 74 passed away on November 11th. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Catherine Pickell. Ken is survived by his sister, Lana Randolph. A lifelong Dayton area resident, he graduated from Chaminade High School in 1957 and attended San Diego State University. He was employed by NCR in the 1960s, into the 70's he was a Real Estate agent with his parents' Century 21 Agency. He later was a sales representative for Prudential Life Insurance. In later years Ken worked in a local plastics manufacturing plant. After his father's death he devoted himself to his mother who needed constant care until her death. Ken was a considerate and generous man and will be missed by his friends. Special thanks to Don Koehler and his sister Clare Osman for their continued friendship during Ken's illness. Thank you to Grafton Oaks Nursing Center for their kind and compassionate care. There will be a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 am, Friday, November 15, 2013 at the Calvary Cemetery Chapel, 1623 Calvary Drive, Kettering with Fr. Kenneth Pleiman C.PP.S. presiding.
