Lawrence Booker

BOOKER, Lawrence 87 of Brookville passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years Naomi (nee Seibel) Booker, June 5, 2011 and one son William Booker in 1964, his parents Elmo Rene and Caroline Lillian (nee James) Booker. Lawrence is survived by one son and daughter-in-law Robert and Janeen Booker of Florida, one daughter and son-in-law Pat and Don Moore of Englewood, one sister and brother-in-law Joan and Bert Huffman of Canada, 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Deo and Theo Seibel of Englewood, and sister-in-law Lucille Williamson of FL. Lawrence wrote his GED to graduate from high school when he was 67, was retired from McCalls Printing, and also from the Charlotte Co. (FL) School System where he was Head of Maintenance, was a Lifelong Member of the Salem Church of the Brethren, was an avid fisherman, enjoyed golf and, loved music. Lawrence and Naomi’s family will receive friends Saturday, August 6, 2011 starting at 10:00 AM at the Salem Church of The Brethren, 6037 Phillipsburg-Union Road, Englewood, OH, 45322 followed by a memorial service for Lawrence and Naomi at 11:00 AM with Reverend Alvin Cook presiding. Lawrence’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the Brookhaven Assisted Living Staff and the Hospice of Dayton Staff for there care and compassion. Contributions if desired may be made to the Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420 in memory of Lawrence.
