

DORSEY, Marilyn Joan, 81 passed peacefully at Hospice of Dayton Saturday, February 22, 2014. She was born in Dayton, Ohio at St. Elizabeth Hospital on February 23, 1932. She was preceded in death by her parents Ewell and Mildred (Messick) Forkner, sister Jean Smith and special aunt and uncle Ethyl and Charles Krick. Marilyn is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, William “Bill” Dorsey, daughter Kym DeMint of Brookville, son and daughter-in-law Michael and Patricia Dorsey and grandsons Jeremy and Jonathan all of Houston, TX. Also surviving is her special cousin Beverly Lightcap of Centerville. She was a 1950 honor graduate of Stivers High School and attended the University of Dayton. After college she worked at the Dayton Power & Light Co. Many of her lifetime friendships were started at those times. Marilyn served at the election polls in Randolph Twp. for over 25 years, for many of these years she was the presiding judge. Private services will be held at the convenience of her family.
