

PRASS, Ronald E. Sr., 75 of Annapolis, MD, formerly of Brookville and Englewood, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2011. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 47 years, Patricia Ann (nee Snyder) Prass in 2005, a daughter Kimberly Ricciuti in 1989, his parents Richard R. and Dalmetta I. (nee West) Prass, and a brother Jan Prass. Ron is survived by one son Ronald E. Prass Jr., of MD, two daughters and one son-in-law, Cynthia Prell, Amy and Paul Poxson all of FL; six grandchildren Rebecca Prell, Ryan Prell, Kate Leach, Sarah Ricciuti, Matthew Prass and Megan Prass, three great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard E. and Marjorie Prass of Vandalia, Robert E. and Ann Prass of Englewood. Ron was a sturdy son of Brookville and led the Brookville High School Blue Devil football team to the Little Buckeye League Co-Championship as starting Quarterback in 1952. He entered in the US Army and proudly served our Country from 1954 – 57. He returned to Brookville, married Pat and attended the University of Dayton. He subsequently became the top architectural products salesperson for U.S. Plywood for several years in succession and founded Columbia Architectural Products, Inc. in Beltsville, MD, where he worked until his retirement. A celebration of Ron’s life will be 10:00 AM Monday, June 6, 2011 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME ENGLEWOOD CHAPEL, 675 West Wenger Road with Pastor Doug Jacobs presiding, burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery, Brookville, Ohio.
