SOLLENBERGER, William G. (Bill) died peacefully in Dayton, Ohio on June 3, 2016 in at the age of 71. Bill is survived by his wife of 50 years, Claire (nee Guerrant) and his sons Daniel, Mark (Angie) & Michael (Elle), his nine grandchildren and his brothers Jack (Joyce) and Tim (Marilyn). Bill was born on June 11, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio to John and Beatrice. He graduated from Chaminade High School in 1962 and served with honor in the United States Navy. He married Claire in 1966 and they spent their life in the Dayton, Ohio area. There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends, Friday, June 10, 2016 at ST. PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1000 West Wenger Road, Englewood starting at 9:00 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am with Fr. James Seibert C.PP.S., celebrant. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Bill’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill’s honor to the Veterans Administration Volunteer Services (Dayton VA Medical Center, ATTN: Volunteer Services (135), 4100 West Third Street, Dayton, Ohio 45428). Inurnment of Bill's cremains will be at the Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 1:00 pm with Deacon Joe Subler celebrant.
