Amador is survived by his wife, Elva Luis Ortiz; his son Henry Amador Ortiz of Tempe, Arizona; and his daughter Laura Mammia (Adhim) of Escondido, California.
Amador was preceded in death by his daughter Phyllis Ortiz.
Amador is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Amador will be remembered by friends and family as a loving, caring, open hearted man. He would do what ever needed to be done to help someone out. He will also be remembered for his quick whit, and dry sense of humor. He is known for his calm, respectful, and quiet spirit . Amadore loved to travel, camp, and was never far away from his trusted camera. He loved anything to do with the water, boating, swimming or being around it. He also had a fondness for any type of seafood, especially when Elva cooked it for him.
A mass of Christian Burial for Amador will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Timothy Catholic Parish, 2960 Canyon Rd., Escondido, CA 92025. Following the Mass of Christian Burial will be a committal service from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Oak HIlls Memorial Park, 2640 Glenridge Rd., Escondido, CA 92027.
