Born in Manila, Philippines, on May 27, 1943, Tito's journey was a testament to his vibrant personality and disciplined work ethic. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Francisca; his two children, Rafael (Lisa) Miranda and Carisa (Ken) Schow; three grandchildren, Brandon Miranda, Jazmin Miranda, and Annabelle Miranda; and his sister, Rose Marie (Gil) Guanio.
Tito's story was one of purpose and passion. In 1966, he moved to the United States to pursue his master’s degree at Loyola University in Chicago. The following year, he moved to Seattle to begin a distinguished career as a mechanical engineer at Boeing, where he met the love of his life, Francisca. Their journey together began in 1969 when they married and moved to San Jose, California, where Tito would spend 34 years as a dedicated and resourceful facilities manager for IBM. His meticulous attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills led him to continued success as a director of facilities for several other companies, including CB Richard Ellis, the Bank of Hawaii, Vandenberg Air Force Base in Lompoc, CA and later at Ronald McDonald House in Stanford, CA. Even in his retirement, Tito’s passion for motion and excellence was evident in his work transporting exotic cars and later as an Uber driver.
Beyond his professional life, Tito was a man who lived with a flamboyant and colorful flair. He was easily recognizable by his impeccable, fashionable style and his perfectly coiffed hair, held in place by his beloved Tancho Tique pomade. He had an infectious, bold laugh and a great sense of humor, which he used to share countless stories with family and friends. His love for exotic cars was a true passion—he enjoyed nothing more than a long drive in one of his several Mercedes Benz cars, cruising down Stevens Creek, admiring and test-driving the latest models. He took great pride in hand washing weekly and detailing his cars, turning a simple chore into an art form. His annual tradition of being a "snowbird" between San Jose, CA, San Diego, CA, and Bellevue, WA, and celebrating New Year's Eve with his family in Waikiki, HI, were some of his most cherished and unforgettable moments.
Tito's faith was the cornerstone of his life. A devout Catholic, he found strength and guidance through his daily prayers and Sunday mass. He had an unwavering belief in the power of prayer and that God, the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and the Blessed Virgin Mary would bring miracles.
He was a role model and a thoughtful guide to his family, offering words of wisdom and encouragement, often repeating his favorite sayings, "think before you act", "it only takes once", and “ you need to have a process and be systematic”.
He was immensely proud of his wife's and children's accomplishments. His greatest joy came from seeing his family thrive, and he leaves them with the invaluable legacy of his sage advice and unwavering love.
His memory will be cherished, and his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
