Augusta is survived by her son Robert Lee Nelson III of Riverside, California; her daughter Mary Ann Fredericks of Texas; her daughter Patricia Ann Nelson of Escondido, California; her son Ricky Nelson of Texas; and her daughter Sandra Dee Fowler (Larry) of Perris, California.
Augusta was preceded in death by her husband Robert Nelson II; her daughter Barbara K. Elliott and her daughter Evelyn Faye Nelson.
Augusta was predeceased by 2 brothers and 1 sister. She leaves behind 12 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren.
Augusta will be remembered as a mentor to young people of her community. Owning her own business she was able to employe and mentor young people in her neighborhood. Her favorite past time was watching her shows on TV. Let's Make a deal (Wayne Brady), and Family Fued (Steve Harvey). Augusta was very devoted to her religion.
A visitation for Augusta will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McLeod Mortuary, 1919 East Valley Pkwy, Escondido, CA 92027. A graveside service will occur Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA 92058.
