He was born on November 23, 1949, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Aurelius proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force and later dedicated many years of service to the St. Tammany Parish School District, where he worked in the Maintenance Department until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aurelius Diaz Sr. and Myra Diaz; his brothers, Richard Diaz, Raymond Diaz and his sister, Debra Mullaney.
Aurelius is survived by his loving siblings: Myra Strandberg (Henry), Margaret Jones (Richard), Joan Hartman, and Carl Diaz (Marylynn), along with extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.
