Elizabeth Barragan Lemus was born on April 22, 1987, and passed away on April 16, 2026, at the age of 38. A resident of Escondido, California, Elizabeth will be remembered with deep respect and enduring love by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Raised in Escondido, Elizabeth attended Lincoln Elementary School, Grant Middle School, and Escondido High School, later continuing her education at Escondido Adult Schools. From her earliest years, she carried a steady strength and an openhearted way of being that would remain constant throughout her life.
Elizabeth worked in many roles over the years, including customer service, medical billing, and reception services. In every setting, she was known for her sincerity and integrity—someone who could be counted on to be straightforward, fair, and genuine, while still offering warmth and care to those around her.
In 2020, Elizabeth married Erick Lemus. She was the proud mother of her son, Angel Isaac (born 2006), and her daughter, Delilah (born 2011). She also welcomed the joy of becoming a grandmother to Aitiana (born 2026). Elizabeth is survived by her parents, step-parents, brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. Her devotion to her family was evident in the countless ways she gave of herself—generously, quietly, and without hesitation.
Elizabeth found happiness in the things that brought color and music into life: Disneyland, Disney Princess Belle, cheetah print and red roses, and the comfort of favorites like Gilmore Girls and Dutch Brothers Coffee. She loved to sing and dance, enjoyed music and live concerts, and proudly supported her teams as a Raiders fan and a Dodgers fan. Her humor was unmistakable—often arriving in the form of a well-timed truth, spoken with the kind of honesty that made people laugh because it was exactly what everyone else was thinking but didn’t say.
She attended St. Leo's Mission in Solana Beach, California, and carried with her a spirit of kindness that reached beyond any single place. Elizabeth will be forever remembered by family and friends as a beloved, kind-hearted, selfless presence—someone who lit up the room the moment she walked in, whether it was a club, an office, or a home. Her beautiful smile will never be forgotten, and her resilience will remain an example to those who loved her.
Visitation will be held at McLeod Mortuary, 1919 East Valley Pkwy, Escondido, CA 92027, on April 29, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will take place at Resurrection Catholic Church Escondido, 1445 Conway Dr, Escondido, CA 92027, on April 30, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A Committal Service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park, 2640 Glenridge Rd, Escondido, CA 92027, on April 30, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to all her friends and family for the love, support, thoughts, and prayers throughout her life and in this time of loss. Elizabeth was loved and will be forever loved very much.
To the brightest star in the sky, wishing you peace, love and rest, until we meet again.
Y que siga esco's parranders.
