Ethel Schmitt

Ethel Schmitt, age 90, passed away on October 5, 2012. She was born April 2, 1922 in Northwood, North Dakota. Ethel graduated from high school in Sharon, ND and Dakota Business College in Fargo, ND and had worked as a bookkeeper for a number of years. She lived in Escondido for 42 years and previously for 19 years in Taft, California. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Schmitt was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Pastor A.E. Schmitt, in 2002. She is survived by 3 daughters, Judy DeRose, Anita Coleman & Myrna Barress, by 6 grandchildren, Derek DeRose, Nora Hashimoto, Aaron, Niki, Tricia, & Josh Barress & 6 great grandchildren, DJ & Emma DeRose, Cali, Collin & Archer Barress, & Leo Hashimoto.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am, Friday, October 12, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1418 Bear Valley Parkway, Escondido, CA.
