I met Jay when he first came to Maintenance at ML Sellers. He always had a smile and a good attitude despite some trying times. We had many work related and personal conversations over the years. I was so saddened to hear of his passing and still can’t really believe it. You will be sorely missed Jay by all who knew you. RIP my friend. ❤️

I met Jay when he first started coming to our Super Bowl parties every year. Such a wonderful guy! He was so quiet. He brought Danielle and the kids. He was so proud if his family. Over time Jay came out of his shell and I will always remember him and the fun we had at Super Bowl, especially at half time. RIP Jay

I met Jay and have known him since the beginning of his Postal career. We were both carriers at the Escondido Main P.O. I have very fond memories of our time together as carriers. We would often have lunch together at Roundtable Pizza; Jay was always cracking jokes; he could always make me smile and had a unique “one of a kind” laugh. I remember sitting at Roundtable Pizza with him when he told me that he was going to leave Escondido and go to MLS to the Maintenance Dept. He even tried to recruit me to go with him. Well, he left and was very successful at MLS. I finally found my way to the Maintenance Dept. and when we met up again at MLS, it was still the same ol’ joking, smiling Jay who greeted me with, “What’s up, Big Dee”? Jay had a heart of gold; he was a great man and an even better friend who left us WAY too soon. He will truly be missed by his Postal family; but he will NEVER be forgotten. Rest easy, Jay, until we meet again in Postal Heaven. My deepest condolences to the Mapanao family; you are and will remain in my thoughts and prayers.

I met Jay about 8 months ago, he offered me a detail to Moreno Valley P & DC. Jay was very nice and warm welcome, I found him easy to get along with. I send my deepest sympathy to the Jay Family and the Moreno Valley Maintenance Crew, Jay was a nice Manager, easy to work with and he LOVED to talk and listen to your problems , he will be missed.

My deepest sympathies to all of Jay's family and loved ones. I knew Jay years ago during my time living in San Diego. We all had many great times and laughs shared together with both friends and family. Jay always was a very sincere and caring person. Very Genuine! Jay you left us all too soon, however, may your spirit and warmth live on in all your loved ones. You will be missed by many.
With love and prayers! R.I.P.

Rest In Peace Jay. You will truly be missed. Jay always encouraged me to do well at work and always made the office brighter with his positive attitude and motivating words. When I wanted to give up, he encouraged me to be strong. We hung out together in Oklahoma for work and he was always cracking jokes and making me laugh. In comparison to others, our times together were few, but I’ll never forget how positive and funny Jay was. Thanks Jay, you will not be forgotten. Rest easy.
