
surrounded by all his loved ones. He is survived by his two siblings Ma. Guadalupe and Ramiro
Rios; his four children Juana, Maria, Jose, and Sergio; and twelve grandchildren.
He was born March 15, 1945 in Guanajuato, Mexico. He moved to the United States at the age
of twenty-one. He was a single father who took pride in his children who he raised with strong
family morals and values. He worked the last forty years for Pauma Ranches in Pauma Valley
before retiring in Tijuana. He was passionate about music and played the accordion with a local
Norteño band. He was very social and loved being the center of attention. He was known for
being outspoken and having a joke for every occasion. He will be greatly missed.
His viewing will be held March 23 at McLeod Mortuary in Escondido from 3-7 p.m. There will
be a service the following day, March 24, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Escondido at 10 a.m
