Kyis Souvath Garlejo

Kyis Souvath Garlejo, beloved brother, son, and grandson, came into our lives on Labor Day September 6th, 2004 at 3:49am weighing 7 lbs. 3 oz. He was born and raised in Escondido, CA, where he attended Rock Springs Elementary, Rincon Middle School, and Escondido High School. Kyis was an honor student and a scholar of science and mathematics, set to graduate in June 2022. A thoughtful person and gifted artist, his passion was demonstrated through his love for expressive animation, creative stories, and inspired illustrations. Kyis could always be recognized for his long dark brown hair and his signature blue North Face hoodie. He loved to travel with this family and was a connoisseur of an array of soothing tea blends. Kyis passed on Sunday April 24th, 2022 at the delicate age of 17. He will be deeply missed and is survived by his devoted parents, Francis and Carrie Garlejo, and his adoring sister, Caelah. Countless family members will remember Kyis fondly as a gentle soul who is gone too soon. We love you, Kyis.
